Coach Edwards would like all of you to know the details for Al.  Flowers have been sent from the MKA lacrosse team to the funeral home.

Albert “Al” Rehus (1949 – 2012)

On Wednesday September 26, the Montclair Kimberley Academy community lost a very special member of our family as Albert “Al” Rehus, MKA’s Upper School Director of Security, passed away.

Al was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to hundreds, if not thousands. MKA has lost a wonderful and genuine man who always brought a smile to peoples faces and who always put the needs of others before his own.  He was the rock upon which we all relied and was always there for us, whether we realized it or not.

Al loved MKA and the student athletes and coaches with whom he worked. Van Brunt Field and the Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. Gymnasium were his homes away from home and he made sure that they was ready for our student athletes each and every day. His impact on others went far beyond the classroom or the fields and although he is gone, he will never be forgotten.

From this point forward, the 2012 MKA Fall Athletic season is dedicated to our friend, Al Rehus.
